The immersive exhibition Behind the Wall tells in an innovative way the story of the former prison in Uherské Hradiště, a place with a very turbulent history. The exhibition takes the form of a mobile application for iOS and Android smart devices.

The app works with augmented reality (AR), an interactive experience that complements the real world with computer-generated information. The Behind the Wall app consists of six stations with unique content. Users will learn about the history of the prison, guided through it by an AR hologram of Uherské Hradiště-born actress Eva Podzimkova, see the prison grounds in AR from a bird’s eye view, experience an interrogation or enter a cell – solitary confinement.

Along with our sister company Little Greta, we spent half a year preparing the exhibition Sense versus Sensibility. And we had a lot to do, as this was the second-largest exhibition ever hosted by the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlin, Czech Republic. With the focus on product design in Zlin between 1918 and 1958, the exhibition combined elements of augmented reality and 360° immersive video with interactive games and 3D printing as well as with more conventional, analogue elements.

Although we have great experience in the beer and spirits market with our design and labelling expertise through our sister company Little Greta, it was sometimes difficult to explain our ideas with the client, due to the distance between us. Undeterred, we solved the problem by developing a bespoke tool to have those conversations named LG:AR.
